Job Title:        School-Based Mental Health Therapist – CONTRACT
Reports To:   Program Director

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This contract position will provide timely assessment, evaluation and therapeutic services to clients of CommunityWorks, including children and adolescent populations, in our Oklahoma City metro area school locations, including but not limited to: Newcastle, Norman, Noble, and Spencer. The position will coordinate, participate and provide assistance within the continued development, crisis intervention and outreach services as identified by the individual needs of each client. The position will assist the agency in complying with all company policy and procedures, federal, state, and accreditation requirements. The position will work varied hours to meet the needs of the clients on the selected person’s caseload. The selected applicant should expect to work during specified school hours.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The position requires a Master’s degree in a human behavioral field and licensure in the State of Oklahoma or licensure candidacy in the State of Oklahoma to provide therapeutic services (i.e. LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC Candidate, LMFT Candidate, MSW Under Supervision). Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a school-based setting. Must be able to solve practical problems, contribute in a group setting and work effectively under minimal supervision. The position requires the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external individuals.

The position will coordinate, participate and provide assistance within the continued development, crisis intervention and outreach services as identified by the individual needs of each client. The position will assist the agency in complying with all company policy and procedures, federal, state, and accreditation requirements. The position will work varied hours to meet the needs of the clients on the selected person’s caseload. The selected applicant should expect to work some evenings and/or weekends.
