Job Title:         Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Therapist – CONTRACT

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This contract position will provide timely assessment, evaluation and therapeutic services to clients of CommunityWorks in need of service for alcohol and/or drug related issues in our Norman office location. The position will coordinate, participate and provide assistance within the continued development, crisis intervention and outreach services as identified by the individual needs of each client. The position will assist the agency in complying with all company policy and procedures, federal, state, and accreditation requirements. The position will work varied hours to meet the needs of the clients on the selected person’s caseload. The selected applicant should expect to work some evenings and/or weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The position requires a Master’s degree in a human behavioral field and licensure in the State of Oklahoma or licensure candidacy in the State of Oklahoma to provide therapeutic services (i.e. LADC). Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in an outpatient setting. Must be able to solve practical problems, contribute in a group setting and work effectively under minimal supervision. The position requires the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external individuals.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Direct Care Staff Level I for the Pottawatomie County Juvenile Detention Center – Carter Hall will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation of the 14-bed detention center that houses pre- and post-adjudicated juvenile delinquents and youthful offenders. The position will assist in all activities for the detention center including but not limited to the supervision of juveniles to ensure the safety and security of staff, residents and the facility, the assistance in completion of personal hygiene, activities of daily living and program activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and experience working with youth. The position requires the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external individuals. He/she must be able to solve practical problems, contribute in a group setting and work effectively under minimal supervision. Additionally, the selected individual must be at least 21 years of age and able to stand and move 80%-90% of the time.

The position will coordinate, participate and provide assistance within the continued development, crisis intervention and outreach services as identified by the individual needs of each client. The position will assist the agency in complying with all company policy and procedures, federal, state, and accreditation requirements. The position will work varied hours to meet the needs of the clients on the selected person’s caseload. The selected applicant should expect to work during specified school hours.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The position requires a Master’s degree in a human behavioral field and licensure in the State of Oklahoma or licensure candidacy in the State of Oklahoma to provide therapeutic services (i.e. LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC Candidate, LMFT Candidate, MSW Under Supervision).
